Permawood Solariums and Additions
Business Need: Permawood Solariums and Additions offers top of the line design and construction of solariums and additions. The business owner wished to update their web presence to showcase Permawood’s extensive portfolio of custom work, the quality materials they use and the level of their design and building expertise. The existing website had not been updated in years, though the sophistication and scale of Permawood’s work had advanced tremendously. They needed a workable means to keep it up to date.
What Up Marketing did: Up Marketing separated the distinct business objectives of the website - to illustrate the breadth of Permawood’s capabilities, the intricacies of their process, and the importance of their people to the result. Permawood offers a completely customized service – from country estates, to inner city atriums - no two solariums are alike!
A customized, branded gallery display was integrated to allow for easily updated photos and captions. This gallery allows users to quickly view a great number of projects in a visually pleasing format. Another customized viewing platform was developed to present case studies of individual projects from beginning to end. An animated home page display visually introduces the visitor to a sampling of Permawood’s capabilities – without having to navigate off the homepage. The site was designed and built on a Joomla content management system, with several integrated plugins to customize the site with branded graphic elements.
The Result: Permawood new sales and sales prospects have exceeded expectations in number, volume and value per project, most over $250,000. The Permawood sales team no longer drag heavy portfolios to exhibitions and sales calls – they take iPads and present their work on the website. Quality clients are now actively seeking Permawood’s services, reducing the business‘ reliance on consumer shows and site visits to serve new prospects.
When checking the analytics that were installed on the Permawood site, we discovered that a significant amount of web visitors were using mobile phones to view the site. This has led to a new project to optimize the website for mobile use.
