Electronics Product Stewardship Canada (EPSC)
Business Need: Electronics Product Stewardship Canada (EPSC) is a not-for-profit organization working with an array of partners and stakeholders to develop, promote, and implement sustainable solutions for Canada's end of life electronics. EPSC required their existing website to be updated to a design standard that reflected an organization that represents Canada’s major electronics industry leaders. EPSC also wished to functionally upgrade to a content management system that would afford EPSC easy self maintenance of the website in the future. EPSC also required a tool to help them publish their content in both English and French.
What Up Marketing did: Our web development team defined new navigation, enhanced the copy, and migrated the site to a Joomla platform. We introduced a more modern layout and incorporated a rotating banner to prominently present on every page all the logos of EPSC’s growing membership. Photos were sourced to illustrate the messaging and keep the presentation fresh and inviting as visitors move from page to page. A translation tool was deployed to assist in the coordinated posting of new pages in English and French. At the conclusion of the development process, EPSC staff were trained by Up Marketing to take over management of the site.
The Result: The EPSC website now visually reflects their leadership position in the technology marketplace. EPSC is now in full control of their website, posting new material, making announcements in the "what’s new” information side bar, recognizing new members on demand and posting their logos to the customized rotating banner feature. EPSC’s chair, Lloyd Bryant, sums up the result, "I like it!”
